星期一 陰 Starting a new life in Toronto. So maybe I should try up-dating my xanga more often. At least summarize what happened so far. April xx: Just before exams, finally heard from IBM that they will offer me an intern position in Toronto Lab May 1: Moved to Toronto. Stayed in relative's place. While looking after their kids, started search for a place to live. May 3: First day to work. Friend drove me to work. Found out it was actually just the intern's info section and my team will have no work on Friday and Monday. May 4: My team was invited by IBM to watch Spiderman 3 for free. We interns in that team were also invited. So Great! May 5: Found a nice place near Pacific mall. Rent is soooo cheap too. May 7: Since Holiday, decided to move in before the place was taken. gf came over. May 8: First day at work. Know the team better. Think there are 10 members in total and 7 are actually Chinese. Also had the first team meeting. May 9: Still don't have a computer at my work place. Working in their computer lab and trying to get use to the system they use. gf left to China. May 10: Seems like my manager really likes meeting. Another team meeting after lunch. I understand nothing in the meeting and had to try very hard not to fall asleep. May 11: Team lunch. Nice but I can't yet join into the team's talk. May 14: Finally my computer arrive. Getting things set-up. Consider this day as my first working day in IBM. |
